Quick Update
I just spoke with Mrs. King and she says the Sweethearts are doing amazing at camp. :)
Also remaining balances are due August 15th. The following is the released football schedule please print a copy and note that there are a few Thursday games this year.

*Final Camp Update*
We are aware of only four girls using Dart to go to camp if you decide to also use Dart you MUST notify us TODAY as we need a final head count.
Everyone else should plan on meeting at Woodrow between 5am and 5:30 am as we will be leaving promptly at 6am.
Please bring your signed waiver with you and another copy has been posted below. Also you must be in your black leggings and black tank top with hair in a bun and makeup and lipstick applied. Don't forget your refillable water container.

Transportation To Camp and Camp Attire
Please plan on meeting at Woodrow at 6 am on June 25th that way everyone will arrive at camp together. Again if you are in need of a ride please contact your Military Officer. Camp attire has been released and is in the following order:
Day One: Please arrive in your black tank top and black leggings with your hair in a low bun.
Day Two: Black leggings and black tank top a red top will given to you that morning.
Day Three: Black leggings and black tank top a colored top will be given to you that morning.
Day Four: Black leggings and black tank top a sparkled zebra print top will be given to you that morning.

Camp Information Updates

Check in time June 25th is 7am "PLEASE BE ON TIME." Contact your Military Officer if you need a ride that morning. June 28th is show off and awards day and it begins at 9am. We will get more information closer to the last day such as what time you need to be picked up from the hotel. We have had several questions about camp wear. You should wear fitted black leggings and a black tank top each day with your jazz shoes. Colored matching tops will be distributed at camp but you will need your black tank top under the camp shirt.

What To Bring To Line Camp
*A change of workout clothes per day. (Black Leggings and Black Tank Top)
*Cover Ups/Sweat pants/Shorts (Must be worn at all times outside of dance area for modesty!)
* 8”-10” taper candle. (Long, slender dinner candles)
*Cosmetics
*Toiletries
*Hair Dryer
*Hot Curlers/curling iron/flat iron
*Pajamas/”bum” clothes
*Pillow for evening during TEAM TIME!
*Alarm Clock (Don’t be late!)
*Notepad and pencil
*Knee pads (Optional, but advisable on carpet)
*Proper footwear (jazz shoes)
*You may wish to bring a nice outfit for “Night on the Town.” (Most teams wear their Official T -shirt w/khaki or blue jean shorts or cute pants)
*Money for “Night on the Town,” Spirit Shop, and other goodies and necessities
*Water Bottle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Each student is responsible to fill a water bottle with ice and water for the day. There are not enough water fountains or water service to keep the students comfortable. Please make sure they are prepared for their own good!
*Don’t forget anything else of a personal nature or team nature that you may wish to bring or have with you at camp.

9th Grade Girls Please Read!
If you were in 9th grade last year and have been called to the EOC STAAR Summer Program you have two options either attend the summer academy or take the virtual program. Please contact us before Sunday June 17th and let us know if you feel you will not be able to attend camp June 25th through June 28th. Please contact Amy Fullen at 214-881-5547 she is compiling the list as Mrs. King is out of town.

Important Upcoming Events
First it looks as though the poll is going to end with Facebook winning and we should have the page up and running within 24 hours of the poll closing. We will post a link from the blog to the Facebook page.
Mrs. King will be at Woodrow from 10am to noon Monday the 4th of June if anyone has any money they need to turn in.
Also please start spreading the word about Sweetheart Benefit Nights. Your Military Officers will be contacting you with more details but please try and attend your squads Benefit Night. A special thanks to our awesome Captain Kia for setting this entire benefit up and the following restaurants.

June 15th 5pm will be Kia, Ali, and Alyssa's squads at Taco Cabana
June 18th 5pm will be Bethany and Brianna's squads at Burger House
June 19th 4pm will be Elizabeth and Cristina's squads at Ihop
June 20th 5pm will be Jessica and Dulce's squads at CiCi's Pizza

Please take the poll
Please take the poll that is posted on the right side of the blog. We have been notified that the current email system sometimes takes as long as 48 hours to notify parents and students. Also the current form does not allow for questions and answers to be given. We have decided to take a poll over the weekend on which you would rather have an email list or a facebook page. If an email list is decided upon it would take some time for the parent to return all requests and answer all questions. If a facebook page is decided upon it would allow automatic comments which could be answered by other drill team members and parents. The poll will close on Monday June 4th at 7 am. Thanks in advance for your input.
