Boots Tomorrow!!!

1. Yes Ladies, wear your boots for practice!!!
2. Don't forget your money for Subway $5!!! Money must be paid by Friday Morning!
3. TIGHTS!!!! Need to make sure you have your tights for Friday Night's Game.
4. Back Up Plan for GAME NIGHT!!!! Red Top, Black Leggings, and White Boots.
5. All Sweethearts must be ready by 5:15 to get on bus for game. If you want to ride home with a parent, your parent must provide a note to the director during the 3rd quarter of the game.

First Day of School

We will not have practice in the morning. We will meet in P146 for class at 8:55 AM.

Please do not participate in the meet and greet in the morning...there are way to many of us!!! Please use tomorrow morning to get ready for your first day of school.

We will have practice Tuesday at 7AM!!!

Sweethearts Practice with the Band

Just a quick reminder all Sweethearts will practice with the Band on Tuesday, August 21st at 6PM until 8PM!!! See you on the Woodrow Football Field!!!

Upcoming Events for Sweethearts!!!

Just a quick reminder for NEXT WEEK!!!

Monday: Subway and TCBY fundraiser from 3PM until close located at the corner of Mockingbird Lane and Abrams. Turn in Mary Kay orders with half of the amount due. Please follow instructions on handout provided.

Tuesday:  Practice with the Woodrow Band from 6PM until 8PM at Woodrow

Wednesday:  CUB CAMP....only a few Sweethearts will be needed for this event

Thursday:  FLASHMOB dress rehearsal. We will leave Woodrow at 7am by school bus and return around Noon!!!  Also on Thursday.....

Woodrow Dance Theatre Performs for DISD School Board at 5:30 PM

Friday:  We will meet at Woodrow at 10:00 AM at leave by school bus for the FLASHMOB performance and will return around 5:00PM.

Subway and TCBY Fundraiser Night, Monday, August 20th

On Monday, August 20th, the Sweethearts will be participating in a fundraiser at Subway and TCBY at the corner of Mockingbird and Abrams from 3PM until close.

Subway and TCBY have asked for Parents and Students to promote the fundraiser through Social Media. Invite all family and friends!!!

Mary Kay Colors

The Mary Kay Make-up colors the Sweethearts will be using for all performances will be:

Eyeshadow- Midnight Star, Granite, and Sweet Cream
Blush- Shy Blush
Lipstick- Really Red #050277

Order forms were supplied today if you would like to purchase. Half of the amount is due on Monday, 08/20 and the remaining balance will be due the first week of school.

You may also contact your own Mary Kay Consultant to purchase items or you may try to match the colors on your own with other Cosmetic Brands.

Upcoming Sweetheart Practice with the Woodrow Band

All Sweethearts will practice with the Woodrow Band on Tuesday, August 21st at 6:00 PM. Practice will include setting the famous "HEART" and also setting everyone on yard lines for the first dance. This is a very important rehearsal, please work on clearing your evening to attend rehearsal. Practice will conclude at 8 PM sharp!!!!

On Saturday August 11th Sweethearts will have a car wash from 8am till 1pm at Los Dos Reales on 108 North Fitzhugh Avenue Dallas, TX 75246‎ tickets will be given out at camp so you can sell them in advance for $5. You must show up to the car wash in order to benefit from the proceeds.

Monday August 13th tryouts for the 1st game will be held at 8:30 am. In order to be in the 1st game you must make tryouts and have your balance paid in full.  Also on the 13th will be tryouts for  the Cub Camp Performance. 

Camp Reminder

Camp dates are August 6th through the 9th and also the 13th through the 16th from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm unless you did not attend camp or Mrs. King feels you need extra work then release time will be 1:30. Please attend both weeks! Also please start paying off your account balance during camp. Attire for the first day of camp will be your Red Halter Top and Black Shorts"Soffe shorts, bike shorts, or leggings MUST BE BLACK." Hair should be in a high bun. You should bring tennis shoes and your jazz shoes. Please bring WATER, WATER, WATER, AND MORE WATER!!!

Car Wash Fundraiser

August 24 Dance Performance

Mrs. King needs 40 dancers from Sweethearts and WDT to perform on Friday, August, 24. You will perform for all the teachers in DISD! She expects all MO's and SO's to perform. Dress rehearsal will be August 23rd. You will be able to get the T-Shirt form and Parent Consent form during camp next week. If you are not in Sweethearts and not attending camp please print the form at the bottom of the page and return it to Mrs. King the day of rehearsal.  If you are able to attend please call, text, or Facebook Mrs. King as she needs to turn in shirt sizes soon. The choreography can be learned by watching the video at:
